रायगढ़। कमिश्नर श्री सुनील कुमार के निर्देशन में प्रतिबंधित सिंगल यूज प्लास्टिक के विरुद्ध लगातार कार्रवाई की जा रही है। अभी तक 212 लोगों के विरुद्ध कार्रवाई करते हुए 3 लाख 5 हजार रुपए जुर्माना वसूल किया गया।
शासन द्वारा सिंगल यूज प्लास्टिक पर पूर्णत प्रतिबंध लगा दिया गया है। इसके उपयोग एवं बिक्री पूर्ण रूप से प्रतिबंधित है। इसमें जब्ती, जुर्मानेके साथ वैधानिक कार्रवाई के भी प्रावधान है। सिंगल यूज प्लास्टिक के उपयोग से पर्यावरण को बहुत हानि पहुंचती है। इसे देखते हुए इसके उपयोग और बिक्री लगातार नगर निगम प्रशासन द्वारा जन जागरूकता अभियान भी चलाई जा रही है। कमिश्नर श्री चंद्रवंशी ने निगम के टीम को सिंगल यूज प्लास्टिक के उपयोग करने एवं बिक्री करने वालों पर लगातार कार्रवाई करने के निर्देश दिए। गुरुवार को संजय मार्केट में निगम की स्वछता टीम द्वारा निरीक्षण कर व्यवसाईयों से प्लास्टिक कैरी बैग में सामान देने और कैरी बैग बिक्री नहीं करने की समझाइए दी गई। इसी तरह प्रति दिवस व्यावसायिक क्षेत्र में निरीक्षण कर सिंगल यूज प्लास्टिक के उपयोग नहीं करने व्यवसाईयों से अपील की जा रही है। नगर निगम प्रशासन द्वारा जुलाई 2022 से अब तक 212 व्यवसाईयों पर कार्रवाई करते हुए 3 लाख लाख 5 हजार रुपए जुर्माना वसूल किया गया है। इसी तरह अब तक 119 किलोग्राम से ज्यादा सिंगल यूज प्लास्टिक जब्त किया गया। निगम कमिश्नर श्री चंद्रवंशी ने निगम की स्वछता टीम को सिंगल यूज प्लास्टिक के विरुद्ध सतत रूप से कार्रवाई करने और आवश्यकता पड़ने पर कैरी बैग बेचने वाले व्यवसाईयों के विरुद्ध वैधानिक करवाई करने के निर्देश दिए हैं।

महापौर श्रीमती जानकी काटजू ने कहा कि सिंगल यूज प्लास्टिक कैरी बैग से पर्यावरण प्रभावित होती है। इससे एक तरफ जहां पशुधन की हानि हो रही है, वही पर्यावरण, मिट्टी प्रदूषित होती है, इसलिए सिंगल यूज प्लास्टिक का उपयोग नहीं करना पर्यावरण संरक्षण के लिए अनिवार्य है। मेयर श्रीमती जानकी काटजू ने शहरवासियों से सिंगल यूज प्लास्टिक उपयोग नहीं करने, अपने जान पहचान, आसपास के लोगों को भी इसके लिए जागरूक करने की अपील की है।
