15 अप्रैल, रायगढ़। रायगढ़ जिले की जोबी पुलिस ने पशु तस्करी के विरुद्ध कार्रवाई करते हुए मंगलवार सुबह जंगल के भीतर से चार तस्करों को रंगे हाथ गिरफ्तार कर लिया। आरोपियों के कब्जे से 24 कृषक मवेशी जब्त कर उन्हें सुरक्षित मुक्त कराया गया है। मामले में सभी आरोपियों को न्यायिक रिमांड पर भेज दिया गया है।
घटना की पुष्टि करते हुए जोबी चौकी प्रभारी सहायक उप निरीक्षक लक्ष्मी राठौर ने बताया कि उन्हें मुखबिर से सूचना मिली थी कि कुछ संदिग्ध व्यक्ति बड़ी संख्या में मवेशियों को सक्ती की ओर से क्रूरता पूर्वक उड़ीसा स्थित बूचड़खाने की ओर ले जा रहे हैं। सूचना मिलते ही चौकी प्रभारी ने वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों को जानकारी देकर टीम गठित की, जिसमें प्रधान आरक्षक दशरथ लाल सिदार, आरक्षक सुरेंद्र बंसी, अश्वनी सिदार और घनश्याम सिदार को शामिल किया गया। टीम ने ग्राम पुछीया पाली के कर्रानारा जंगल में घेराबंदी कर चारों तस्करों को मौके पर पकड़ लिया।
पकड़े गए आरोपियों में संजोग साय (38 वर्ष), अधीन साय (55 वर्ष), विक्रम सिदार (25 वर्ष) — तीनों निवासी सिंगी बाहर थाना तपकरा, जिला जशपुर तथा अवधेश सिदार (25 वर्ष), निवासी धौरासांड थाना फरसाबहार, जिला जशपुर शामिल हैं। पूछताछ में सभी ने मवेशियों को उड़ीसा के बूचड़खाने ले जाने की बात स्वीकार की। उनके पास पशुओं की ढुलाई से संबंधित कोई वैध दस्तावेज नहीं थे और मवेशियों को रस्सियों से बांधकर, बिना चारे-पानी के निर्दयता से पीटते हुए ले जाया जा रहा था।
पुलिस ने मौके से 24 नग कृषक मवेशी बरामद किए, जिनकी अनुमानित कीमत ₹82,000 बताई गई है। सभी आरोपियों के विरुद्ध थाना खरसिया अंतर्गत जोबी चौकी में कृषक पशु परिरक्षण अधिनियम की धारा 6 एवं 10 के तहत मामला दर्ज कर लिया गया है। पशु क्रूरता और अवैध तस्करी की इस घटना में पुलिस की तेज़ कार्रवाई से स्थानीय लोगों में संतोष देखा गया है।
