रायगढ़, 22 अगस्त 2024/ मुख्य चिकित्सा एवं स्वास्थ्य अधिकारी डॉ.बी.के.चन्द्रवंशी की उपस्थिति में आरोग्यम सभा कक्ष में एक दिवसीय अन्तर्विभागीय समन्वय बैठक सह प्रशिक्षण का आयोजन किया गया। जिसमें राज्य से प्राप्त दिशा निर्देशानुसार 29 अगस्त को जिले के समस्त आंगनबाड़ी केन्द्रों एवं शासकीय विद्यालयों, शासकीय अनुदान प्राप्त शालाओं, केन्द्रीय विद्यालयों, नवोदय विद्यालयों, मदरसों, निजी स्कूलों, अनुदान प्राप्त निजी स्कूलों, महाविद्यालयों, तकनीकी शिक्षा संस्थानों के माध्यम से 1 से 19 वर्ष के बच्चों, किशोर/किशोरियों को कृमिनाशक दवा एल्बेण्डाजॉल 400 मि.ग्रा की गोली का सेवन कराया जाना है तथा मॉप-अप दिवस 04 सितम्बर 2024 को किया जाना है। 
          राज्य शासन द्वारा रायगढ़ जिले में लगभग 454505 बच्चों की जनसंख्या को दवा सेवन कराने हेतु लक्ष्य रखा गया है। राष्ट्रीय कृमि मुक्ति दिवस कार्यक्रम के नोडल अधिकारी डॉ.टी.जी. कुलवेदी ने बताया कि कृमि मुक्ति दिवस के दिन (29 अगस्त 2024) बच्चों को दवा सेवन अवश्य कराया जाना चाहिए जिससे कि बच्चों के स्वास्थ्य एवं पोषण का स्तर, बौद्धिक विकास, रोग प्रतिरोधक क्षमता में विकास, एनीमिया के रोकथाम में सुधार हो सके। डॉ.कुलवेदी ने दवा सेवन कराने के तरीके के बारे में विस्तृत जानकारी देते हुए बताया कि उम्र अनुसार दवा सेवन किया जाना है। जिसमें 1 से 2 वर्ष तक के बालक एवं बालिकाओं को एल्बेंडाजॉल की आधी गोली चूरा/पीस करके पानी के साथ मिलाकर चम्मच से पिलाई जावे, 2 से 3 वर्ष बालक एवं बालिकाओं को एल्बेंडाजॉल की एक पूरी गोली चूरा/पीस करके पानी के साथ सेवन कराए। 3 से 19 वर्ष तक के बालक एवं बालिकाओं को एल्बेंडाजॉल की एक पूरी गोली चबा करके पानी के साथ सेवन कराना है। राष्ट्रीय कृमि मुक्ति दिवस कार्यक्रम के दौरान किसी भी बच्चों को जबरदस्ती दवा सेवन न कराये। बच्चों की स्वास्थ्य की स्थिति की जानकारी लेवें तथा जो बच्चे बीमार है या कोई अन्य दवाई ले रहे है तो उन्हें कृमि नाशक की दवाई न खिलाई जाए। बच्चों को किसी भी परिस्थिति में दवाई घर ले जाने न दें। बच्चों को दवाई हमेशा अपने ही सामने खिलाए।
