रायगढ़। छत्तीसगढ़िया ओलंपिक से छत्तीसगढ़ की प्रादेशिक पारंपरिक खेलों को विशेष पहचान मिली है। गांव से लेकर शहर के हर उम्र के लोगों ने पारंपरिक खेलों में बढ़-चढ़कर हिस्सा लिया है।
उक्त बातें महापौर श्रीमती जानकी काटजू ने रायगढ़ स्टेडियम में रविवार को आयोजित छत्तीसगढ़ी ओलंपिक जॉन स्तरीय खेल स्पर्धा के समापन समारोह में कही। उन्होंने सभी खिलाड़ियों को भाग लेने और खेलों के प्रदर्शन के लिए शुभकामनाएं दी। इस दौरान उन्होंने कहा कि प्रदेश सरकार द्वारा छत्तीसगढ़ की पारंपरिक खेल जैसे गिल्ली डंडा, भंवरा, बाटी, गेड़ी दौड़, सत्तूल, लंगडी दौड़, रस्साकशी, कबड्डी, खो-खो, कुश्ती खेलों को पहचान दिलाने का कार्य किया जा रहा है। इससे एक ओर जहां लोगों का मनोरंजन हो रहा है, वही खिलाड़ियों को भी अपना खेल दिखाने का अवसर मिल रहा है। इस दौरान उन्होंने सभी खिलाड़ियों को बढ़ चढ़कर हिस्सा लेने और जिला तथा प्रदेश स्तरीय स्पर्धा में अपना सर्वोच्च स्थान बनाने की बात कही। एमआईसी सदस्य श्री शेख सलीम नियारिया ने कहा कि छत्तीसगढ़ की पारंपरिक खेल को यहां के लोगों द्वारा भुलाया जा रहा था, जिसे प्रदेश सरकार ने जिंदा रखने और खिलाड़ियों, छत्तीसगढ़वासियों को इन खेलों के प्रति रुचि लेने का अवसर दिया। इस दौरान उन्होंने सभी खिलाड़ियों को खेल भावना से खेलने और अपने पारंपरिक खेलों का नाम रौशन करने की बात कही। निगम कमिश्नर श्री सुनील कुमार चंद्रवंशी के निर्देशन में आयोजित जोन स्तरीय स्पर्धा में 417 खिलाड़ियों ने हिस्सा लिया। इनमें से एकल तथा ग्रुप स्पर्धा में प्रथम एवं द्वितीय स्थान बनाने वाले खिलाड़ियों को प्रशस्ति पत्र और मेडल देकर सम्मानित किया गया। जोन स्तर पर प्रथम आने वाले 202 खिलाड़ी जिला स्तर स्पर्धा में अपना खेलों का प्रदर्शन करेंगे। कार्यक्रम के आयोजन में राजस्व निरीक्षक श्री हरिकेश्वर लकड़ा का सराहनीय योगदान रहा। कार्यक्रम के अंत में उपायुक्त श्री सुतीक्ष्ण यादव द्वारा सभी अतिथियों और खिलाड़ियों का आभार व्यक्त किया गया। कार्यक्रम में एल्डरमैन श्री वसीम खान, कांग्रेस नेता श्री अमृत काटजू, मितान युवा क्लब के पदाधिकारी एवं जनप्रतिनिधिगण, स्पर्धाओं को करने वाले स्कूलों के व्यायाम शिक्षक आदि उपस्थित थे।
