जिला प्रशासन की टीम ने मंगलवार देर रात खरसिया स्थित वंदना पेट्रोल पंप का आकस्मिक निरीक्षण किया। निरीक्षण के दौरान शासन द्वारा निर्धारित मानकों एवं आवश्यक निर्देशों का पालन नहीं पाया गया, जिसके बाद प्रशासन ने तत्काल कार्रवाई करते हुए पेट्रोल पंप को सील कर दिया।
निरीक्षण में संचालन और सुरक्षा संबंधी प्रावधानों में अनियमितताएं सामने आने पर अधिकारियों ने कड़ी नाराजगी जताई। प्रशासनिक जांच में निर्देशों के उल्लंघन की पुष्टि होने के बाद नियमानुसार कार्रवाई की गई। अधिकारियों ने स्पष्ट किया कि उपभोक्ता हितों और आमजन की सुरक्षा से जुड़े मामलों में किसी भी प्रकार की लापरवाही बर्दाश्त नहीं की जाएगी।
यह कार्रवाई रायगढ़ एडीएम प्रवीण तिवारी, जिला खाद्य अधिकारी तथा खरसिया तहसीलदार की उपस्थिति में संपन्न हुई। निरीक्षण के दौरान अधिकारियों ने पेट्रोल पंप संचालकों को शासन द्वारा निर्धारित सुरक्षा एवं संचालन संबंधी मानकों का अनिवार्य रूप से पालन करने के निर्देश दिए।
जिला प्रशासन ने कहा है कि जिले में संचालित पेट्रोल पंपों और अन्य व्यावसायिक प्रतिष्ठानों का निरीक्षण आगे भी जारी रहेगा। नियमों की अनदेखी पाए जाने पर संबंधित प्रतिष्ठानों के विरुद्ध सख्त कार्रवाई की जाएगी।
