खबर ने जिस सच्चाई को उजागर किया था, वह आज भी जस की तस है। कमर्शियल पंजीयन के बिना अवैध बसें, वैन और ऑटो सुबह-शाम बच्चों को ठूंस-ठूंसकर ढो रहे हैं। ओवरलोडिंग खुलेआम हो रही है, चालक अनुभवहीन हैं और वाहन जर्जर हालत में। इसके बावजूद जिम्मेदार मूक दर्शक बने हुए हैं। यह लापरवाही नहीं, जवाबदेही से पलायन है।
सूत्र बताते हैं कि खबर के बाद कुछ “आंतरिक चर्चाएं” जरूर हुईं, लेकिन जमीन पर कोई अभियान, कोई जब्ती, कोई लाइसेंस निरस्तीकरण नहीं दिखा। यदि कार्रवाई हुई भी, तो वह कागजी रही। नतीजा अवैध वाहन संचालकों के हौसले और बुलंद, नियमों की धज्जियां और ज्यादा बेधड़क।

बहरहाल मासूम बच्चों की जान पर प्रयोग बंद हों। प्रशासन अगर अब भी नहीं जागा, तो यह चुप्पी अपराध मानी जाएगी। कानून को सड़कों पर उतारिए वरना इतिहास गवाह रहेगा कि खबरें चेतावनी देती रहीं और जिम्मेदार सोते रहे
